Avant-garde doom collaborators Bell Witch and Aerial Ruin will return this fall with Stygian Bough Vol. II, the long-awaited continuation of their acclaimed 2020 release, Stygian Bough Vol. I. The project unites Bell Witch‘s Dylan Desmond and Jesse Shreibman with Aerial Ruin‘s Erik Moggridge, extending a partnership that has been evolving for fifteen years.
The announcement comes with a haunting teaser video, filmed and edited by Bobby Cochran, which offers the first glimpse into the new chapter of Stygian Bough.
Commenting on the visual, Desmond explained: “Bobby Cochran expertly used Sergei Parajanov‘s The Color of Pomegranates as a muse for this trailer that perfectly captures the dreamlike qualities of the music.”
Alongside the record, Bell Witch and Aerial Ruin will join forces on a European tour in January and February 2026, with support from 40 Watt Sun. On the tour, Desmond added: “We’re very excited to finally perform Stygian Bough Volume II live!”
