Just when it seemed like the restomod Ford Mustang space had reached saturation, another contender has pulled into the spotlight. Meet the Shelby GT350TR, a sharply reimagined classic from Trick Rides, based out of Oklahoma.
Following a familiar but finely tuned formula, this build arrives with a $339,000 starting price. If your net worth starts with a comma, this one’s probably not for you.

As expected from a well-sorted American restomod, the build begins with the bones. Trick Rides swaps out the original underpinnings in favor of a fresh platform from the Roadster Shop. Independent front suspension with Fox coilovers brings modern composure to the ride quality, setting a high baseline for what follows.
To that end, the chassis work includes beefier front and rear sway bars, a four-bar rear suspension system, and a 9-inch rear axle. These upgrades don’t just improve stability, they significantly recalibrate how the Mustang moves on the road, dialing out much of the original’s body roll and bounce
Visually, the GT350TR doesn’t stray too far from the formula that made this generation of Mustang an icon. While we’ve seen some upgraded pony cars use carbon fiber panels, Trick Rides has crafted the panels of the GT350TR from steel. It has a similar overall look to the famed Eleanor models, although it is a little more subtle.
The front end features new grilles, headlights, and a custom hood. Three-piece Forgeline wheels have been added, as have new side-exiting tailpipes. All up, the GT350TR looks mean, but without being over-the-top. Admittedly, the rear half does look a little too subtle compared to the butch front.
Modern Power
Then there’s power. Trick Rides has fitted the Mustang with a supercharged Coyote 5.0-liter V8 rated at 700 hp, coupled to a six-speed Tremec T-56 manual transmission. It also has a custom exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. For those who prefer their power without the whine of forced induction, Trick Rides also offers a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 option.

Stopping power promises to keep pace with the performance. The GT350TR is fitted with Baer brakes, featuring six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston units at the rear.
