13-Mile 2018 Ford GT Competition Series for sale on BaT Auctions – ending May 6 (Lot #190,434)

This 2018 Ford GT was ordered as a Competition Series, which was a $70k option that included deletion of the stereo system and backup camera in addition to upholstering the carbon-fiber bucket seats with black Alcantara upholstery and specifying the car with an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, 20″ carbon-fiber wheels with titanium lug nuts, a Perspex acrylic engine hatch cover, a carbon-fiber engine cover prop rod, exposed carbon-fiber bodywork and interior trim, six-point harness anchors, and lightweight glass between the cabin and engine compartment. The car is further equipped with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, butterfly doors, a retractable active rear wing, a rear diffuser, and gloss carbon-fiber exterior trim. First unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, the second-generation GT was built by Multimatic of Markham, Ontario, with production beginning in December 2016. Variable ride height, front-axle lift system, selectable driving modes, and launch control are standard features.

Staggered-width 20″ carbon-fiber wheels feature titanium lug nuts and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Braking is handled by red-painted Brembo six-piston monoblock calipers over 15.5” carbon-ceramic discs up front, while four-piston calipers are mounted over 14.1” units out back.

The carbon-fiber bucket seats are trimmed in black Alcantara that extends to portions of the dashboard and door panels. Exposed carbon-fiber accents the cabin, and Competition Series cars were optioned without a stereo and cupholders. Additional appointments include six-point harness anchors, an adjustable pedal box and steering column, and red door pull straps.

The Alcantara-wrapped multi-function steering wheel fronts red-anodized paddle shifters and a configurable digital instrument panel. The digital odometer indicates 13 miles.

The mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 features a carbon-fiber engine cover and was factory rated at 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Getrag seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle. An Akrapovič titanium exhaust system is fitted along with carbon-fiber aero panels fore and aft.
